We are growing our pastry family! Working with Teatro Ristorante. The Pastry Chef will prepare, present, store, and oversee the production of all baked goods and desserts of Teatro.  The Pastry Chef directs the work within their area; ensuring that all employees follow standards and health and safety regulations. Participates in the training and development of employees and provides input for performance appraisals and disciplinary action. Join our team and take your passion a step further, learn new skills and have fun while you do what you love to do.

We are looking for                                                   

  • A minimum of 4 years of pastry experience in a similar environment
  • Diploma or degree in Pastry & Baking Culinary Arts or an equivalent field an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of preparation of baked goods and desserts
  • Ability to operate all kitchen appliances (ovens, induction cooktops, gas burners, steamers, propane torches, mixers, sheeters, etc)
  • Ability to work supervised and unsupervised
  • Sound knowledge of current sanitation processes
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
  • Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Will be constantly exposed to high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use knives and kitchen appliances.
